Article: “Click If You Can Afford It”
Source: New York Times
I found this article to be hilariously disgusting. It tells about the Leica camera which is a high HIGH end “vintage” camera that has started its rise into popularity again amongst photographers and…celebrities. Granted some Celebrities are photographers not just holders but I find it disgusting that someone would think that it would be cool to carry a high priced camera just because they can. It moves the object from being a functional to nonfunctioning which when it comes to an object that was designed to be used i.e. FUNCTION is just ridiculous. It makes one wonder if you own a camera that you don’t know how to use, or a Ferrari that you don’t know how to drive does it still make you look cool? Or does it become a symbol of your stupidity?
